After the museum I drove to Hobbiton for a tour of the movie set created by Peter Jackson for his Hobbit films and his Lord of the Rings films.

Two more stops before leaving Rotorua
In the morning I went to the Rotorua Museum.
The museum used to be a place where people came to soak in the hot mineral waters. Later they offered mud baths in the basement as shown below.
